Calendar card for the month of September 1914; sponsored by G.C. Wilkins General Hardware located in the Erie-Wyoming area of New York with the telephone number (13-R-14). The image in the center of the card is of a barge being pulled down the canal by an animal team. A house is in the distance. (888) printed in lower right corner of image [presumably card number], followed by the title of the image (ALONG THE OLD CANAL), the copyright date (1912), and the creator (E. LAMASURE). A hole is punched in the top center of the card [for hanging].

C. Wilkins General Hardware] (TOO WARM -- TOO COOL. Too warm for a fire in the heater -- too cool to be without any fire, night and morning. Or it soon will be. Get one of our oil heaters and keep the temperature just where you want it all the time. Start your fire in a minute, carry it from room to room, get the heat where you need it, and shut it off instantly when you've had eough. By the way, how about the kitchen range and heating stoves?
