Graduation portrait of Cora M. Russell from the Lafayette School. Cora M. Russell was the mother of Mrs. Mildred Schermerhorn Hunt who donated this photo to the White Plains Public Library in June 1975. The Lafayette School may refer to a school started by Miss Mary Adler in 1875. Originally located on Lexington Avenue, it moved to quarters in Lafayette Hall, a community center.
