Description
This black and white postcard shows construction of a deep cut section of the Barge Canal in Fulton N.Y. A steam shovel is in the foreground loading debrisand dirt into railroad cars. Eleven men are present throughout. There are two bridges, one in the forefront and one in the background. The canal embankment runs from the back of the image to the construction machines in the center. Towards the lower right is a pipe protruding from the wall. In the background there is a building. There are both printed and handwritten captions.
