Manhattanville College/CNR, Social Action and the NFCCS
Description
This collaborative collection of 250 objects brings together archival materials from Manhattanville College and The College of New Rochelle documenting the history of the National Federation of Catholic College Students (NFCCS). Active from 1937 to 1967 and eventually comprising members from 150 colleges nationwide, the NFCCS united students in political and social advocacy. The NFCCS played an important role in the Civil Rights movement and other social action of the mid-twentieth century.
